Go to apps and activate the ”Advance Access Management” module.
To use Advanced Access Management, it is necessary to have both the Simplify and Web Domain modules present in the database.
Simply activate Advance Access management, and dependency modules will activate automatically. However, both modules must exist in the database for this to work properly.

Select "Access Management" in the checkbox and save it manually, as shown in the screenshot below.

How to setup model access rights

Here we have explained an example step by step.

This example shows model access can restrict actions per view, like hiding the sales form's new button.

You can restrict Create, Edit, Delete, Archive/Unarchive, and other permissions view-wise directly from the model access tab.
Here, as you can see, the 'New' button is hidden in the form view of the sales module.

How to setup field access rights

Here we have explained an example step by step.

This example shows field access can hide buttons, remove links, or control field visibility.

You can make specific fields read-only, invisible, and required.
You can Hide, Create & Edit buttons from the drop-down menu in the field access tab.
Here in the screenshot below, you can see that in the drop-down of the customer field 'Create' option and the 'Create and Edit' option are available.

The rule we created here hides the 'Create' option for the customer field in the sales module, specifically for the Mitchell Admin user.
Keep in mind that selecting 'Remove Create Option' will restrict both options, whereas selecting 'Remove Edit Option' will only restrict the 'Create and Edit' option.

How to setup field conditional access.

Here we have explained an example step by step.

This example shows that apply attribute controls field visibility based on specific conditions.

Within the Field Conditional Access Tab, you can apply restrictions to any field using attributes and domain rules.
Using attributes, you can make a field invisible, read-only, or required based on specific conditions.
Here, the company field is only visible on sales orders where the salesperson is Mitchell Admin.

How to setup domain access rights

Here we have explained an example step by step.

This example shows domain access rights using soft restrict to control data visibility.

The soft restrict feature allows you to limit data visibility in one module without causing issues in related modules.
It gives you more control to set who can see and change things based on your business needs.
In the contacts module, you can only see records related to Tracy City .
But in the sales module , when you open a quotation, if it is not related to tracy city, you will get an access error and won't be able to view it.

The rule we created here displays only the records of customers from tracy city in the contacts module, while in the sales module, all customer records are accessible due to soft restrict.

In the contacts module, you can still see only records related to Tracy City.
After enabling soft restriction, you will be able to access quotations in the sales module without any error.

This example shows that apply on relational field filters all related fields by set conditions.

When you want to apply conditions on all relational fields of a related model, the Apply On “Relational Field” option is used.
Here, you can see that the customer field displays all customer records in the dropdown menu.

When we use 'Apply on Relational Fields', the rule is automatically applied to all fields linked to that model.

Manage user access groups in Odoo through Access Studio for easy permission control.

Go to Apps and activate the Simplify Group Access module.
User Access Groups define access given to groups of users in an odoo database.

Now you have access of access studio. You can see the app in access studio in your odoo apps window.
In the user's field, you can select as many available users as you want.
Select the rules in the Access Management Rules that you want to apply to the group, and vice versa. When you apply the rule to a created group, the Access Management Rules field is automatically filled in with the rule's name.

Export the file from access management
The Export feature selectively allows you to export the rules you've created in access management.
The export feature makes it easier to move access management rules from staging to production.
Take note that files will be exported in the form of JSON.
In order to export, first select the records you want to export, then go to the Action button and click on the 'Export File' button, as shown in the screenshot above.

Import files into access management rules with accuracy.

Import the file into access management
The Import feature allows you to transition from staging to production by allowing you to easily import the previously exported files.
In order to import, click on the import icon as shown in the screenshot.
Upload the file using the Upload Your File button on the new form.
In order to export, first select the records you want to export, then go to the Action button and click on the 'Export File' button, as shown in the screenshot above.

After uploading the file, you can test it with the Test button given in the loft top corner and you can see below screen

If you enable the Import Tag option, the import tag will appear alongside the rules.
If you want to import rules that are currently active, disable the Active button.
If there is any missing data when you import the rules, it will be defined in the Missing Data field, as shown in the screenshot, so make sure you have all the needed data.
